Privacy policy
Last updated September 2026.
The short version
We do not sell your information. We do not license it, rent it, or trade it. We do not share it with other organizations, campaigns, or vendors for their own use.
We collect what you give us so we can tell you what the club is doing and get you to the room. That is the whole purpose.
What we collect
When you fill out a form on this site, we collect what you typed into it: your name and email address, and depending on the form, the event you are attending, the ways you want to volunteer, or a message you wrote us.
We do not ask for and do not want your Social Security number, your government ID, or your financial account details. Membership dues and donations are processed by our payment provider, not by this website, and card numbers never reach us.
Our site analytics count page views without cookies and without building a profile of you.
How we use it
To send you club updates, meeting and event notices, endorsement announcements, and volunteer opportunities. To record your RSVP. To answer a message you sent us. To keep membership records.
By giving us your email address, you consent to receive communications from Capital Stonewall Democrats and from our affiliated PACs and programs. You can stop those at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by writing to us.
Who else touches it
We use service providers to do the work: an organizing platform that stores our contact records and sends our email, and a payment provider for dues and donations. They process your information on our instructions and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
We may disclose information if the law requires it, or where campaign finance law requires public reporting of political contributions. That reporting is a legal obligation, not a choice, and it applies to donations rather than to signing up for emails.
How long we keep it
Contact records stay in our organizing platform until you ask us to remove them. Form submissions are held in a short-term buffer for up to thirty days so a failed submission can be retried, then deleted.
Ask us to delete your information and we will, except where we are required to keep a record of a reportable contribution.
Your choices
Unsubscribe from any email. Ask us what we have about you. Ask us to correct it or delete it. Write to info@capitalstonewalldemocrats.com and a real person will handle it.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will say so here and update the date at the top. Questions about any of it go to info@capitalstonewalldemocrats.com.
